Easy Ryder
Rye Malt I.P.A.
This easy-drinking ale is made up of just two malts and three hop varieties. Over 40% of the mash is made up of malted rye, in addition to imported Belgian “Vienna” malt.
Rye is a somewhat unusual brewing grain in contemporary American beer culture, but is undergoing a resurgence in popularity, and it has been used for centuries in Northern European brewing traditions. Rye has a slightly sweet, faintly nutty and spicy flavor, which is quite pleasant, but may be hard to discern amongst the intense hop flavor of this beer. Hop varieties utilized in this beer are Amarillo, Columbus, Fuggles and Glacier in the kettle and this beer is extensively dry-hopped with Centennial. EASY RYDER is brewed in the style of an India Pale Ale. It boasts a deep golden mien, with a bit of haziness caused by the rye (much like the haze in a wheat beer). Crisp, dry, refreshing, and VERY hoppy, with a firm malty backbone to keep it all together.
Cheers!
