Late Harvest I.P.A.
India Pale Ale with New England hops!
Celebrate the arrival of this year’s fresh barley malt and hop crops! We have once again brewed a deep golden, unfiltered I.P.A. which showcases a sweet, toasty malt palate but is ultimately dominated by the deep, wonderful, resinous, spicy, floral character of the blessed hop vine. Simcoe, Chinook, Amarillo and Columbus hop varieties were all used throughout the kettle boil. For the dryhopping addition, homegrown fresh hops from the CBC patio, plus hops grown by our longtime friend Jonathan Bloomberg in Vasselboro, Maine. In the early1990’s Jon was one of the first hop growers in New England since the early 20th Century, and was famous in the brewing world for his hops grown in Thetford, VT. Now he’s started a new hop farm in collaboration with CBC’s own Brewmaster, Will Meyers. This beer invites you to revel in its arrival, full of fresh piney, herbal and citrus character with a significant lingering hop finish.
Cheers!
