Soleil d’ete

French Country Ale

Inspired by French country ales, particularly the style known as Biere de Mars, in released in anticipation of the Summer Solstice. Our version is lighter in body and flavor with aromatic notes of orange blossom honey, herbal hop notes, and clean but spicy yeast character. On the palate flavors of bready malt and cereal grains combine with a touch of caramel leading to a dry and earthy but bright finish.
Brewed with pale and Munich malt from our friends at Valley Malt in Hadley, Massachusetts and a good dose of German Spalter and Czech Saaz hops!

OG: 1.053   FG: 1.011   ABV: 5.6%

  • Beer + consistency = awesome. CBC had great beer the first time "micros" were trendy (mid-90s), great beer after the bubble burst, and it still has great beer now that "craft beer" is trendy again.
