One brew, two beers…

Straight-Edge Stout

This straight-up American stout combines pale and caramel malt, flaked oats, and roasted barley along with Magnum and Fuggles hops. The resulting pitch-black brew boasts a full, rich, body dominated by the complex tones of the roasted grains, with a perfectly balanced, dry finish.

Beantowne Espresso Stout

Custom-roasted Sumatra Mandheeling beans were ground, brewed strong and then infused with one-half of our batch of Straight-Edge Stout, which was then further cold-conditioned. A strong espresso aroma dominates this opaque black brew, capped by a frothy latte'-colored head. Potent-but-smooth, lightly sweetened French roast flavors give way to dark caramel, chocolate, and roasted barley. The velvety mouthfeel of this stout is complemented by a modicum of hop character.
