Cerise Cassée, Old Mother Hubbard, YouEnjoyMyStout, and another new IPA!
We’ve been working hard on the final blend of this year’s Cerise Cassée, tasting beer from each of the ten barrels in our wild-fermentation solera system. Look for this on tap by 10/22.
Also due out on friday, 10/22 is Old Mother Hubbard, our collaboration with Allandale Farms in Brookline. We used over 200# of blue hubbard squash, plus 35# of honey from their hives in this unspiced saison.
YouEnjoyMyStout will come back to visit us sometime before Thanksgiving.
And all you hopheads can rejoice, rather than voice regret at the passing of our very popular Flower Child I.P.A. We’ve got another new IPA maturing in the tanks - as yet unnamed - and it should be out by Halloween.
Speaking of Halloween, check back soon as we’ll have a full list of guest pumpkin beers and Chef David’s pumpkin-infused menu for our 3rd Annual Great Pumpkin Festival!

What is the meaning of the rings?
Fellowship - Two towers - Return of the King?
No matter the meaning
I can tell you the cause,
It’s a tall tale of merriment,
not a nightmare with claws.
It begins as a story
of barley and hops,
And maybe some spices
to give it a pop.
Big Man and Jedi
the flavors are fine.
Duck breast with sauce
reduced from fine wine.
And when you take down
that heavenly swill,
Brewed from the knowledge
of Megan and Will.
You’ll hop to your feet
and do a quick dance,
To the mural you’ll gaze,
poised in a stance.
There’s Jimi and Stewie,
Chris Senate and Jerry,
Liberals unite
under the image of Kerry.
So if you’re in Cambridge
in April or May,
Swing by for a drink,
better yet for a stay.
Request a Spring Training,
so fresh and so clean,
Take a big sip;
you’ll see what I mean.
And before you are through
take a look at your coaster,
Your mind will ignite,
like bread from a toaster.
You answered the question,
the quandary, the riddle,
You add a big ring
‘round the ones in the middle.
So some might say,
that a chain is just fine;
