Latest On Tap Updates!
Happy Monday, everybody! Here’s what’s happening on the taps at the mighty CBC. We found another keg of our Dunkles Weizen (I did say last week that our cooler was way too full! Simply amazing, the things we’re discovering…) so that will be back on tap. We’ve also popped on a keg of 2009 YouEnjoyMyStout (Great British Beer Festival Champion American Beer, in case we haven’t shouted it loudly enough!), since we realized we needed a good “nightcap” beer on hand. Also, our release schedule went a little nutty last Friday and we put the Biere de Gourde on tap first. TODAY we’re releasing the O.P.P. (Old Pumpkin Porter - barrel-aged sour porter with pumpkin and ginger, finished with a touch of new oak) and the 2009 Om (strong blonde ale with Brett). The O.P.P. is cool, with a nice play between the ginger and oak notes and the roasty finish comes out great with a little tartness. The Om has definitely gone to the funky side, with deep, earthy brett character - perfect for enjoyment after a stroll through the orchards or some leaf peeping. Don’t expect the same delicate, fruity Om from last year, as the brett in these barrels has made its presence known. Funky beer fans will embrace it. As for the rest of you, the gauntlet has been thrown. As always, there’s more to come. See y’all soon!
Peace,
Will
