Seasonal Beers On Tap Now
Good grief! Back by popular demand, CBC’s most sought after seasonal beer, Great Pumpkin Ale flows from the taps all autumn long. Brewed with the help of our friends at The Farm School in Athol, MA (www.FarmSchool.org), over 150 pounds of fresh, locally grown, organic sugar pumpkins are hand-carved and added to each batch. CBC is very proud to support educational, non-profit, sustainable organic farming as well as local, seasonal beer and cuisine. Our Great Pumpkin Ale has an appropriately orange hue, and the subtle pumpkin flavor is enhanced by a touch of traditional autumn spices. Come raise a glass in honor of the Great Pumpkin!

Bavarian-style Weizenbier mit hefe
CBC’s widely renowned wheat beer returns for its annual summer-long run! Brewed with pilsner and wheat malts, it is lightly hopped and
fermented with an unique Bavarian ale yeast which lends a tart palate, fruity acidity, and faint spiciness to the beer. Its natural cloudiness is
due both to the malted wheat and the yeast, which stays suspended in this unfiltered brew. Very effervescent, with a nicely dry finish, this
traditional brew will be available thru Labor Day. Cheers!

Produced for centuries, long before the use of hops, Gruit was what beer was throughout the Middle Ages. Brewed with malted barley and wheat, oats, and fermented with our Belgian yeast. It also incorporates the traditional brewing herbs sweet gale, yarrow, and wild rosemary, along with licorice root and nettles. This full-bodied, deep golden ale has a pleasant, herbal tea-like aroma and flavor balanced by rich malt character, followed by a satisfying, dry finish. Please ask your server for more information (and more beer!)

BELGIAN-STYLE WHEAT ALE
The Belgian style of “white” (wheat) beer has its origins in the Brabant region of Belgium. We have recreated our wit beer using pilsner malts
and 50% raw wheat, very lightly hopped, and subtly flavored with fragrant orange peel from Seville, Spain, as well as fresh organic oranges and
their juices and whole coriander. An authentic Belgian yeast strain combined with the raw wheat gives the beer its hazy, peachy color. Light bodied, very effervescent and refreshing.

Summer Barleywine
This chardonnay barrel-aged barleywine aspires to change the way you think of strong beer. Intended for sipping on sultry summer evenings, it Is light and drinkable yet boasts significant body, syrupy smooth in texture without being cloying. Our 2008 expression boasts complex notes of concentrated grape, peach, and apricot fruit, wildflower honey, and coconut oakiness, with a soft, tannin-hinted, white wine-like finish with a hint of green-apple tartness. The residual flavors contributed by the wood offer a mellowness of character not provided by stainless steel fermentation. Beheld in a simple stemmed glass and poured still, its flavors and aromas express kinship to both grain and grape.

Irish Dry Stout
BLACKOUT STOUT is an unfiltered Irish dry stout, black as a moonless night. It is brewed with pale malt and flaked barley and oats, and roasted barley, and hopped with English Challenger. Its dense, creamy tan head is due to its being “carbonated” with a blend of nitrogen and carbon dioxide, then dispensed through a “Guinness-type” tap. With its relatively low ABV, Blackout Stout is an excellent choice for flavorful session beer. Full-bodied and rich, with an exceptional roasty palate.
